Sometimes when the coffee stops working the best resolution is to sit back and take inspiration from others. So without further ado, I am proud to introduce our list of the best 10 graphic design blogs for inspiring the worn out creativity in you, during 2019

It’s a fantastic place to look for new trends in design. Their content reaches past traditional graphic design into fashion, street art and so much more. They even have a section dedicated to “Inspiration” which should help re-fuel your creative passion.
On the opposite end of the spectrum we have Mirador, a minimal, image heavy design blog showcasing some of the most forward thinking designs of the past 50 years. Mirador is a website that looks more like an online art gallery than a traditional blog.
Operated by “Say What Studio” from Paris, France. The duo describe themselves as “Image Hunters” who create work which inspires them. The perfect place to ignite your creativity.
Formed in 1986, UK based Design Week are one of the oldest running design based publications in existence. Design Week was originally published as a magazine, before making the permanent switch to online in 2011.
They offer inspirational articles on a wide range of topics from graphic design to interiors and furniture. They also have an incredible jobs board for anybody looking for a design based job within the UK.
Create by Adobe is one of my latest guilty pleasures. I originally found myself asking why they needed such a website, when Behance (also owned by Adobe) acted as an inspirational social network. But this site is more of an exhibition of talent, curated by Adobe themselves.
Browse their site for inspiration on graphic design, illustration, art, audio/video, motion graphics and much more. Be sure to download their app for a more pleasurable browsing experience.
Shillington is a dedicated Graphic design blog. For me the best aspect of this blog are the interviews with leading designers or industry experts. They give an insight into high end graphic design that other blogs often don’t.
Set up and run by a network of colleges who want to give users an insightful look at the industry via a wide range of interesting articles. I would also highly recommend reading their article on “The 50 essential books every graphic designer should read in 2019”.
Okay so strictly speaking this site isn’t really a blog in the traditional sense, but has some hugely useful ideas on font combinations, pairings, styles and the best places to purchase those fonts from.
If you a huge font hoarder like me, but pride yourself on having a finer palette for higher quality fonts, this is a great site to start with.
Founded in 2011 by Croation born Ena Baćanović, the website offers a wide range of graphic design based inspiration. One of my favorite aspects of the site is their repeating weekly schedule which includes Designer of the week, Web Design Wednesday’s and be sure to check back each week for “Freebie Friday’s”.
Launched in 2011, MindSparkle Mag focus their articles heavily around branding. In their own words “Mindsparkle Mag promotes the most beautiful and inspiring projects in the fields of Design, Web Design and Video”.
One of my personal favorite areas of their site is their focus on web design. The showcase reel of different designs one after another is really useful when trying to find inspiration for web design. With 192 pages of different designs, I am sure there is something which will catch your eye.
Smashing Magazine is possibly one of the larger blogs included on this list. Their focus is more related to the industry itself, with an area for books, events and jobs, it’s an incredibly useful resource.
Join their membership program for a small fee and gain access to a library of information as well weekly webinars and guests posts.
Created and run by UK based Chris Spooner, Spoon Graphics is one of the more fun graphic design based tutorial sites. In his own words, “My aim is to help you create cool stuff by sharing tips, inspiration and resources to fuel your creative passion“.
The site offers a mixture of tutorials, freebies and articles all circulated around design. Be sure to sign up to their mailing list and access to a huge resources bundle pretty much instantly.
